Methodology and limitations
Population. Every business in CarWrapHub's directory with an active listing: shops sourced from the Google Places “vehicle wrapping service” category and vetted per our editorial methodology, plus owner-submitted listings that passed review. Dealerships, parts stores, and generic detailers are excluded. Total at last update: 1,989 shops.
Ratings and review counts are Google ratings as last synced. Averages are unweighted across shops. “Per million residents” uses U.S. Census Bureau, Vintage 2024 population estimates, and only states with at least 10 listed shops are ranked to avoid small-sample noise.
Review themes come from an automated analysis of the most recent public Google reviews for 966 shops (4,712 reviews). Each theme is counted once per shop. This is a subset of the directory and skews toward shops with more reviews.
Demand is every quote request submitted on CarWrapHub to date; it is a small sample and reflects our audience, not the market as a whole. We do not publish “share of shops offering each service” because our service detection is uneven across shops.
Not included: pricing. We do not publish average prices in this report. Quoted prices vary by vehicle, material, and coverage, and scraped price data is not reliable enough to cite. Our cost guide gives ranges instead.
Reuse. All figures are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a link to this page. The underlying aggregates are available as JSON. The page regenerates weekly from live directory data, so numbers drift slightly over time; cite the “updated” date.
